John Anderson Highlighted by County Music Hall of Fame

The Country Music Hall of Fame honors the best of the best within the Country Music field. Last year, it was the Oak Ridge Boys and Charlie Daniels, to name a few. Beginning in just a few weeks, another giant in the music business will be honored with a spotlight exhibit of his very own.

Florida native John Anderson has influenced countless artists over his 40 years in the business, and is one artist who can honestly say that he was active in the building of the Opry. Not only was Anderson a performer in the WSM Radio show regularly, he was also part of the building crew that helped build the current Opry location.

Anderson provided this statement to Webster PR:

We are looking forward to our appearance on Nissan Stadium, as its been several years since we participated in CMA Music Fest and I am looking forward to it,” said Anderson. “I am very grateful and flattered that the folks at the Country Music Hall of Fame would consider me for an exhibit. This is something that most artists only dream about and for me it’s becoming a reality. Love and thanks to the fans who have supported us through the years as well as the folks at the Hall Of Fame.

It was back in 1977 that the artist signed with Warner Brothers Records, and quickly climbed the charts with songs such as “ I’ve Got a Feeling”,  “She Just Started Liking Cheatin’ Songs”, and “Let Somebody Else Drive”.

During his ‘90s comeback, fans of country music likely remember hits like “Straight Tequila Night”, “Money in the Bank”, and “Mississippi Moon”.

In honor of the 35th anniversary of one of his popular hits,”Swingin’”, Anderson will  take the stage at the CMA Music Festival on June 10th, and will include his mega-hit for festival fans.

Webster PR also has shared a look into the exhibit. The new spotlight exhibit will include such items as:

  • An early stage costume from Anderson’s wardrobe embroidered patterns and rhinestones designed by western designer Manuel.
  • A Manuel-designed wool and leather jacket with Native American motifs worn by Anderson on the cover of his Seminole Wind and in the video for “Straight Tequila Night.”
  • Anderson’s 1968 Fender Telecaster that the singer played in the video for “Straight Tequila Night.”
  • A tooled leather guitar strap with Anderson’s initials.
  • A stuffed alligator owned by Anderson.
  • Anderson’s two CMA Awards from 1983 – Horizon Award and Single of the Year (“Swingin”)
