My earliest memory of hearing Johnny Lee on the radio was with his hit’ Picking up Strangers’. Through the years, he has kicked out hit after hit, and according to him, new hits are on the way.
According to a press release from Webster PR, (who Lee just recently signed with), Lee had the following to say about his newest album,
“We’re busier than ever out there on the road and now we have this new album, You Aint’ Never Been to Texas, that I’m really proud of because it’s about as country as you can get. You can bet we’ll be playing a few new tunes out there for the fans, so we hope they’ll come out and see us”
The twelve-cut CD can currently be pre-ordered from the country crooner’s website. Even if I had never even heard of Johnny Lee, I would buy this album simply because of the warning label on the cover. It is refreshing to see country artists stepping up and producing country songs that leave the hip-hop out.
